Description

The DS18B20 is a digital temperature sensor that talks over the 1-Wire bus: many probes can share one data pin, and each has its own unique address. Sealed in a stainless-steel tube, it can go straight into liquids.

How to connect

Usually red = VCC, black = GND, yellow = DATA (check your probe – colours vary). Put a 4.7 kΩ resistor between DATA and VCC. Use the OneWire and DallasTemperature Arduino libraries. The cable's PVC jacket is rated for lower temperatures than the tip – keep it below about 80 °C.
